How We Met and Our Blended Families

Starting our Lives Together!
Our love story began after a chance meeting while we were country dancing with mutual friends and it quickly blossomed into the most special relationship. We had a relatively short courtship, but to us, it didn’t feel that way, it just felt right. We got engaged within five months and were married even before our first-year dating anniversary - that was over 11 years ago.
We have a lot of similarities, but we also have differences in our upbringings that we feel have allowed us to experience many new things together and broaden our interests in each other’s lives, ones that we have chosen to expose our son to as well. We couldn’t be happier that we happened to meet that one fateful night.
Our wedding day was one of the happiest for us for many reasons but one of the most important reasons was that we knew, soon, we wanted to start a family. We value family more than anything in the world. We are a culturally diverse family. It is great for everyone because we are able to learn from each other's backgrounds and heritages. We feel so blessed to have a culturally diverse family because we are able to share our traditions with our son. He is learning Spanish as well as English and we are so grateful for that!
Pinatas were a big part of Michelle's birthday parties growing up and we are continuing that tradition for our son as well as our future child. Also, Michelle loves to salsa dance and hopes to teach our children the love for different kinds of dancing. We are looking forward to continuing to travel the world with our children to be able to teach and expose them to different cultures! We get together quite often with both sides of our families and we feel very fortunate to be able to spend so much time together. Between the two families, we have five nieces and nephews and a lot of our family time is centered around all of the children's activities.

Our Sweet Family
We have experienced a lot of loss over the years as we tried to start our family through several IVF procedures and two separate surrogates. After all of our experiences we decided to choose adoption as our way to start our family - and we are so incredibly happy we did! It has been the most rewarding experience we could have ever dreamed about and we are looking forward to adopting again and completing our family.
Our son is the most special child we could have ever hoped for and we want to bring another baby into our home soon to not only complete our family but to give this new baby the best home we can. Our son just turned 7 years old and we would love to adopt in 2025 so our children can grow up together and have the most time possible to be together.

It is quiet, peaceful and spacious and a great place for any child to grow up.
Our Puppies Love Each Other
We live on a few acres, a few miles outside of our town and have lived there now for nearly 11 years. We absolutely love it. It is quiet, peaceful and spacious and a great place for any child to grow up. We have a large in-ground pool, a huge playscape, a zip line, 4-wheelers, a golf cart, a tractor and a 5th wheel trailer that we travel in and around the United States. We are definitely a family who travels because we believe traveling allows for growth and allows people to experience so many cultures and so many different things.
We have two, beautiful rescue dogs - our boy is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix and our girl is a Black Lab. We rescued both of them and they are like two peas in a pod, and they love each other. They’re best friends!

I knew these individuals for several years prior to them becoming a family. They have nothing but love for their three year old who is also adopted. Once they found out he was being born, they dropped everything and drove to Oklahoma to stay for several weeks over Christmastime. That little boy has never known a greater love than what this entire family has for him. We try to get together at least once a month to hang out as an entire family (mom, 3 brothers, their wives and kids) and we make sure we are all involved in each other's lives; the good and the bad. There would not be a better place for another little one to be than in this home.

Hopeful for 2022!
We are excited for all of our adventures this year! We just returned from Disneyworld and created so many magical memories. We can’t wait to become a family of 4 to create even more magical memories!
It SNOWED in Texas!
It SNOWED in Texas and it was so much fun! Our son had a blast with our puppies playing in the snow. We are so excited to welcome a 2nd child soon so our son can grow up together with his new brother/sister! He just turned 3 years old and we are hoping to adopt before he turns 4 so they can have a chance to grow up together!
Winter 2020...Hopeful for 2021!
We are continuing to be grateful for everything we have...it has been a crazy year but one thing we are grateful for is our family. We can't wait to welcome a new little one, hopefully in 2021, to complete our family. It's exciting to know that someday soon we could bring home a baby! We had a blessed Christmas and we are looking forward to 2021.

Our Busy Fall Season...
We have had a very busy Fall...we took a trip to Tennessee to see the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It exceeded all of our expectations and we are so glad we were able to make the trip. Despite the pandemic, we were able to stay safe and healthy traveling in our RV across the country. Our son is not even 3 years old and he has already been to 20 states in the United States. We also traveled around the Tennessee and Georgia areas. We love to travel and can’t wait to adventure as a family of FOUR soon!
Pumpkin patch...
We had such a wonderful time at the pumpkin patch...it means it’s the start of the Fall season. Cooler weather, lattes and family time! Family time is our favorite!
September Shenanigans...
Between our 5 nieces and nephews, we have 4 of the 5 birthdays occurring in August and September. It's a busy couple of months for us for sure. Celebrations are of course different this year with COVID-19, however, we have been able to get together just with our families to honor all of our nieces and nephews. It has been fun being able to be with family during this difficult time in the world. During this time, we did purchase a Halloween costume for our son...he will be a Mickey Mouse Roadster Racer this year! He is so excited! We hope everyone stays as safe as possible! Latest adventures of 2020
We had planned on many vacations this year but like everyone else in the world, we had to cancel a lot of our plans for 2020. We made the best of it and we were able to alter our plans an enjoy going to the lake in Texas and also Colorado and Wyoming. In the fall, we plan to go to Tennessee to enjoy the fall leaf colors. We have been also been spending a lot of time at home enjoying swimming in the pool, playing on the splash pad, riding 4 wheelers with Mommy and Daddy, working on the tractor with Daddy to take care of our property and feeding all the deer that visit us everyday. We are grateful for our family and are so excited to have this opportunity to adopt again and expand and complete our family. Thank you for your interest in our family.
